CHS Advisor/Principal, Jeff Reynolds

P: (780) 533-3456 ext. 103

Q: What do you enjoy most about being an advisor?
A: I love seeing the positive impact we make in the lives of our clients. Helping people ‘get it’ for the first time is always a thrill!

Q: What’s the biggest challenge?
A: Trying to get clients to swim against the stream. When it comes to finances, following the crowd is a recipe for disappointment.

Q: What do you love most about being part of Plan-It?
A: Working with a team that cares about our clients as if they were extended family is very humbling.

Q: What qualities of yours makes you best suited to do what you do?
A: I have been told I am an excellent listener (excluding school years) and ask really good questions that get to the heart of the matter.

Q: How should people think about their finances?
A: Manage your money as if it belonged to somebody else and could expect an audit one day. I encourage people (especially just starting out) to learn to live on 80% of what they make. Having margin like this will save a ton of stress.

Q: What do you love to do outside of work?
A:I love to golf. Sometimes golf doesn’t love me back though. Watersports and spending time at the lake with family and friends is also cherished. Curling and skiing during the winter helps keep cabin fever at bay.

Q: What would you be doing if you weren’t working with Plan-It?
I would be an author and full-time blogger. I would also travel more to do book tours and speaking engagements.

Q: What personal accomplishment are you most proud of?
A: My family. My friends. My faith. Always a work in progress; I am extremely grateful for these life-sustaining relationships.

Q: If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?
A: To be able to swim freely in the ocean at any depth without special equipment so I could find some cool underwater treasures. So I guess I’d want gills.
